Summer fete to round off term

BEXHILL High School celebrated the end of term with a summer fete organised by the Student Council, with the support of Heads of House.

Funds were raised for the school's Haiti fund and the Don McMath Foundation School in Gambia.

There were plenty of attractions, including local bands, tombola, water balloon catching, a Penalty Shoot-out and a Rubiks Cube time trial.

Executive Principal Mike Conn commented: "What a great way to end the last summer term we will ever have at our Down Road site.

"Full praise for all students and staff involved. The event was another great credit to Bexhill High School."

Before they broke for summer holidays students had got involved in the much-debated Bexhill- Hastings link road.

Year 10 GCSE geography students were given one day to design and construct a professional Powerpoint presentation.

The group achieved a 100 percent pass rate at A to C, with 40 percent of students getting the top grade.
