Support St Michael's Hospice

IF you feel like you need a touch of danger in your life, then St Michael's Hospice may just have the thing for you. The organisation is planning an 128ft abseil in St Leonards this summer and they need your help to make it happen. The event will see a host of daring volunteers, many in fancy dress, drop from the side of Ocean House in London Road in July.

The abseil is open to anyone over the age of 16, and the hospice says this is a great way to combine a once in a lifetime experience with raising vital funds for the charity.

Last year saw 80 daredevils complete the feat, with Batman and Robin, Wonderwoman and Dandylion taking part. Age is not a barrier, as 83-year-old Derek Cramphorne wowed the crowds as he took the plunge last time.

Organisers say you don't need to be fit, or have experience in abseiling. All you need is a taste for adventure and come from the Hastings and Rother area.

Last year many experienced abseilers who had plunged from the cliffs at Peacehaven, said the Ocean House jump was a greater challenge.

So, if you are a thrill seeker and you fancy taking in some amazing views, then St Michael's Hospice needs to hear from you,

A minimum sponsorship of 100 is needed, and organisers urge you to bring your family and friends along for support.

The event takes place on Sunday, July 22, and if you feel this could be for you, contact Cheryl on 201838, or email cdavis@stmichaelshospice. com for information pack.
