A woman from Bexhill has undergone surgery after a car crashed into launderette in the town centre on Friday (June 10), according to police.
A silver Jaguar X-Type travelling west in Parkhurst Road at 5pm appeared to lose control, overshoot the junction into Sackville Road and crashed into two other cars and a bicycle before hitting the laundrette where the 56-year-old woman was inside.
She suffered serious arm injuries and back injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment. She underwent surgery on Saturday.
The 81-year-old woman, also from Bexhill, driving the Jaguar was treated for minor injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting serial 1204 of 10/06.
