Surprise for fundraiser Morgan

THERE was a surprise boost for 12-year-old fundraiser Morgan Kelly who held a garden party this week in Little Common.

When Andrew Crotty of Western Road read in the Observer how Morgan was doing this for Cancer Research UK he decided to give her a signed photo of The Saturdays as a gift.

Morgan was inspired to fundraise in memory of her baby brother Ronan, who died five years ago when he was just 18 months old.

A pupil of Bexhill High, she invited family and friends to help her run the sale in Shepherd’s Close to bring in cash for the cause.

Andrew said: “ My mum and Nan both passed away from cancer and my dad lives in the road and has told me how hard she has worked to raise funds with cakes sales, and I thought I would like to give a small thank you to Morgan. She was very excited and surprised. I’m very happy to give the photo to Morgan as a thank you from me and my family.”
