Sussex customers affected as major banks’ online services crash on New Year’s Day

Online banking customers in Sussex and across the UK have been unable to use their internet accounts today (January 1) after three major banks’ websites and mobile apps have crashed.

Customers from Lloyd’s, Halifax and RBS have reported on social media they are unable to login to their accounts on New Year’s Day.

Many customers have vented their frustration online and have seen the banks respond saying that they are working to fix the issue.
