Can you remember where you were and what you were doing on VE Day or VJ Day? Do you have an interesting story to tell?
The PR team of the Royal British Legion is looking to compile a selection of stories from members of the public who have suitable memories of these important days in our recent history. The stories can be from anyone who can recall where they were on either VE Day or VJ Day. They don’t have to have been people who were serving in the Armed Forces at the time, they can be from people who were at home and remember hearing the news on the radio, subsequent street parties and so on. They don’t have to be members of The Royal British Legion, so theoretically anyone over the age of about 75 might be able to help.
If you have a story to tell, then please forward details, in writing, to: Mr Stuart Marfleet, Branch Hon. Secretary, The Little Common Branch, The Royal British Legion, Meads Avenue, Little Common, Bexhill on Sea, TN39 4SZ. Please indicate whether or not you agree to being interviewed by media should your story be of interest. Written stories only. Photographs cannot be returned.
