UPDATE: Assault arrest after '˜ramming into Bexhill ambulances'

A woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer and dangerous driving after '˜ramming into two parked ambulances' in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday, November 30), according to police.

Police were called to a private address on Little Twitten at the junction with Maple Walk at around 1.35am by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

A 58-year-old woman drove her a silver Peugeot 307 into the two ambulance while they were parked and unoccupied, police said.

No-one was injured but she was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a roadside breath test, dangerous driving and one count of assaulting police.

The woman has been released on police bail until Saturday, December 17, while enquiries continue.
