The service will be provided at a post office service point beside the retail till during the store’s opening hours, Monday to Saturday, 7am-6pm, and Sunday, 8am-1pm.
This is an extra 26 hours a week more than currently offered, including Sunday morning. The branch will open significantly earlier and close later and it will also mark an end to lunchtime closing.
The branch will close for refurbishment from 12.30pm on Saturday April 4.
Keith Long, area manager said: “We know how important post office services are to residents in Ninfield and we are confident this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the community will be popular. The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme.”
