Village roads face disruption

NINFIELD is facing four days of road closures next month as East Sussex Highways sets about resurfacing work.

The A269 at Standard Hill and The Green, Ninfield, will be temporarily shut in two phases, starting on Monday, August 2, and due to finish on Thursday, August 5.

Phase one will close the A259 westwards from its junction with Coombe Lane for a distance of 900 metres. And phase two will close the section between Manchester Road and Church Lane.

An alternative route will be signposted via the B2204, Horns Corner and Catsfield. For further details call the Eastern Area Highways Office on 0345 60 80 193.
