Sussex weather forecast for Thursday, August 6
Weather across Sussex is set to get even hotter today (August 6) as the south coast ramps up to a scorching weekend.
A cloudy start, with some light rain and drizzle in the west, will give way to increasing sunshine, according to the Met Office.
Onshore breezes will keep temperatures slightly cooler around the coast, but inland areas will become very warm.
Maximum temperatures are expected to hit 29 degrees Celsius.
Into the evening, weather is expected to stay dry across all areas with long clear spells and light wind.
Minimum temperatures of 13 degrees Celsius are expected.
