Thunder forecast for some parts of Sussex today

Here is today’s (August 18) weather forecast for across East and West Sussex.

Across Sussex it is set to be slightly overcast but remain warm, with the possibility of storms towards the north.

In Horsham there is a 60 per cent chance of thunder and lightning from midday.

Then rain is predicted there from about 2pm to 5pm this afternoon,

Over in Brighton, there’s rain this morning expected until about 9am, when there will be clouds until the sun emerges from about 4pm.

Eastbourne will see highs of about 21 degrees, but it is forecast to be cloudy until about 4pm when there will be sunny skies until the evening.

Hastings can expect highs of 20 degrees, with cloudy skies until around 4pm when the sun will come out.

Moving back to West Sussex, in Worthing it’s set to be cloudy until about 3pm when there will be sun, with highs of 21 degrees.

And in Chichester, it is raining this morning and will continue to be cloudy until about 3pm when more rain will be expected. The sun will come out at about 4pm, and temperatures are forecast to stay warm with highs of 22 degrees.
