Wheelie bin fire threatens gas main
FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a wheelie bin fire at Cuthbert Close at midnight on Friday night (June 5).
Two crews from Bexhill attended the blaze, which had spread to the house's front door.
It also threatened a gas main - while tackling the flames, firefighters called engineers from TRANSCO, who made the main safe.
Fire crews were at the scene for one and a half hours, waiting for the TRANSCO engineers to come and inspect the main.
Nobody was evacuated and no-one injured.
