A Bexhill pensioner has asked Rother District Council why it took so long to publish the election results outside the town hall.
The man, who lives in the Collington Ward, said the results were not available on the board when he went to look on Monday – two days after all the results were announced.
He said: “I’m sure every year the results of any local election have been published. It does seem quite unacceptable that the ward results for Bexhill are not posted for the public to look at.”
A spokesman for RDC said: “The guidance from the Electoral Commission states that councils should ensure election results are made available to ‘interested parties’ as soon as possible, which we did by publishing them on our website.
“We will also be displaying the results on the notice board shortly.”
