Woman assaulted by group of teenagers in street

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 40-year-old woman in Endwell Road on Friday December 5.

The victim walked down Devonshire Road between 6-7pm. When she got to the junction on Endwell Road she saw six to eight youngsters aged 13-16. A boy in the group shouted at her and two girls repeatedly punched her. They ran off towards Bexhill railway station.

The victim was treated at the Conquest Hospital for facial injuries and later discharged.

There are three main suspects. The first is described as a white boy, about 13, 5’ 5” and of skinny build with ginger cropped hair, wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jogging bottoms with two turquoise stripes.

The second is described as a white girl, about 16, 5’ 4” and skinny with long straight hair, wearing a light coloured vest top with a black hooded jacket.

The third suspect is described as a white girl, aged about 16, 5’ 5”, of medium build with dark brown long hair in a pony tail, wearing a green parka.
