Woman punched in the head in Bexhill town centre

A woman was punched in the head in a nasty assault in the middle of the afternoon in Bexhill town centre.

The 27-year-old victim was walking with her partner when she was attacked by a woman in Western Road, near the Cancer Research UK shop.

The suspect grabbed the victim’s hair and punched her in the head.

The attacker is described as white, in her early 30s, 5’8” with short brown hair with hints of purple.

She was wearing a white jumper at the time of the attack.

The attack happened at 2.30pm on Wednesday December 2, but police have only just released details of the incident.

PC Sally Blick said: “We would like to speak with anyone who may have seen this assault in the middle of the afternoon.

“Witnesses can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 877 of 02/12.”
