Xmas fairfun for allthe family

Local charity, The Sara Lee Trust present their annual Christmas Fair at St John the Evangelist Church, Pevensey Road, St Leonards next Saturday (November 19) 10-1.30pm.

The event is held to raise funds for the charity, is free to enter and full of festive fun for all the family. Maria Gonet, The Sara Lee Trust fundraising manager says there will be many Christmas gifts, homemade refreshments and the children can meet Father Christmas. “There will be a variety of stalls,” she said. “These include hand-crafted gifts, scented candles, jewellery, Italian scarves, plants, tombola, raffles, festive food and drink, with light music kindly provided by The Rye Ukulele Experiment from 11am.”

Santa will be in his Grotto from 11am, and there will be a children’s craft area with lots of creative activities.

Tickets will be available for the charity’s Grand Christmas Raffle which features fantastic prizes, including a luxury one-night stay in Rye, a 32” LED TV and a crystal jewellery set.

Maria added: “Our Christmas Fair is always a lot of fun and a great way to get into the festive spirit. We’d love as many people as possible to come along and support the Trust.”
