Youngsters raise funds for abuse charity

As part of their four-week National Citizen Service programme, 15 young people from Bexhill and Hastings will work with the CRI Domestic Abuse Service to raise money and help the local community.

CRI (Crime Reduction Initiatives) Domestic Abuse Service gives information and support to women and men.

The local youngsters will host a series of events including a Summer Fête in Alexandra Park on Thursday, August 13, 1-8pm - which includes an unveiling of a Mural which is designed to be a permanent reminder of CRI’s work. They hope to raise around £500. Annabel Selvadurai, a pupil at St Richards Catholic College, Bexhill, said: “NCS has been an amazing experience. Our team has worked really well together in order to organise these events to help such an important cause.”
