A question we must all answer

I imagine the recent and sudden deaths of Victoria Wood and Prince will have made many of us think about our own mortality.

There is one question we need to answer while our brains are still functioning well and that is whether, in the event of suffering severe trauma which would affect our ability to function, we would wish the doctors to resuscitate us.

Too often the question has not been asked and the hard decision of whether to resuscitate or not is left to the relatives.

It is hard to let go of the ones we love and this is why we should answer this question and in writing.

Surely it is important that those we love can, with a clear conscience, follow our wishes.
