Didn’t you laugh when you heard Tim Farron attributing the Lib Dem win in Richmond to a backlash against the government’s approach to Brexit?

Doesn’t he know that Richmond was a strong Remain constituency, so no real surprise at the result there?

As the recently released song says, ‘you can’t always get what you want’.

Tim Farron seems to have failed to grasp the fact that the Brexit vote was a decisive victory for most of England against the might of most London constituencies.

Yes, I am sure London was shocked to make the discovery that they were unable to swing the vote.

They and Tim Farron need to see, what others see now, that when it comes to voting, London was the future, once.
