LETTER: Time for town to be democratised

editorial image

So much for localism, democracy and transparency!

Rother District Council in its wisdom has loaded the terms of reference for the forthcoming Local Governance Review in their favour, by proposing to hold their meetings in secret.

A cynic would conclude that the outcome has been predetermined.

I sincerely hope not, especially after 3,816 residents have asked for this review. Surely it is time for Bexhill to be democratised.
