In reply to Paul Minters’ letter regarding knocking down St Barnabas church to build a multi-storey car park.
What a brilliant idea; but why not expand it to demolishing all but one of the churches in and around Bexhill and making better use of the land than at present?
After all, they sit empty for most of the year and the dozen or so Christians in the town that still want to use these places could all use the remaining building in a kind of time-share capacity.
It can only be a win-win; less empty buildings in the town, more land for development and the various churches that sell their land get an injection of cash.
