Have you noticed how Nicky Morgan, secretary of state for education likes saying non-negotiable?
Well, let us hope when primary school teachers are balloted, they vote to boycott tests for four and 11-year-old pupils and tell Nicky Morgan that is non-negotiable.
Let us not allow the joy of learning to be destroyed in the young.
Then let us hope school teachers go on strike to protest about the government’s determination to force all schools to become academies and tell her their strike is non-negotiable.
I certainly would be encouraging all the members of my union to go on strike if I was still teaching.
I would object to it not just as a teacher, but as a parent as well. It is time for teachers and parents to flex their muscles and tell Nicky Morgan they object and that is non-negotiable!
