Will they be tightening belts?

It has been interesting reading articles on a national public sector ‘rich list’ published recently.

Some journalists seem to want us to feel sorry for David Cameron, because he earns less than others.

What these writers seem to have forgotten are the perks which come with his job [a large house in London and one in the country, to name just two] and then there is that huge expenses claim each year.

Indeed, I always wonder what he finds he needs to spend his earnings on.

The latest thing in the pipeline is the refurbishing of an RAF jet for his use, at an eye-watering cost to the taxpayer.

But we are to be persuaded that over time this will be cost effective, as the Royal Family and high ranking RAF officials will be able to use it as well. Are you convinced?

Did you hear that David Cameron wrote to the local council in his constituency of Oxford to complain about the cuts they were making?

When Osborne publishes his spending review this week, will it be a case of tighten your belts lads and lasses, so we can go on loosening ours?
