Zoolab visit Amberley Nursery

Zoolab had returned to talk to the children and show them all their lovely creatures; a giant rabbit, rats, hissing cockroaches, giant African land snails, a corn snake, a giant millipede and a tarantula to name but a few!

The handler Louise knew all about the creatures as they are her own pets, telling the children about their diet and the conditions they like to live in. She encouraged the children to move like the animals, hopping and leaping ten creeping and slithering.

The children always love these visits, helping to get rid of any fears about these creatures, by learning about them and touching them.

Manager Lois Streets said 'Both staff and children love zoolab's visits, enjoying the animals close up- on their own hands! Finding out about the food they eat and the conditions they like to live in are all a valuable insight into looking after other living things.'
