Beckley 10K set to make running

The eighth running of the annual Beckley 10K will take place tomorrow (Sunday, 11am start).

Runners of all standards are welcome to line-up in a challenging run along the lanes around the pretty village with race HQ at Beckley Village Centre.

Although hilly in parts, the home stretch is straight and largely downhill-ish so a fast finish is guaranteed. Medals, free beer, homemade cakes and fruit are the reward for all finishers.

Entries are still available online until this evening (Friday). Visit www.nice-work.org.uk and check the race webpage for details of the online entry links.

You can also enter on the day or, for those who’d like to save a couple of pounds, you can email the organisers your full name, address and club details, if any, and a number will be reserved for you to collect on the day.

All profits from the race - which has traditionally taken place in early November - will go to Beckley Village Centre.

There is also a two-mile fun run which starts with the main race, as well as a children’s race which will start around 10.45am and finish prior to the start of the main 10K race.
