Bexhill College crowned county champions
BEXHILL College netball team have been crowned champions of the U19 Sussex County Cup League.
The team consisted of 10 core players who have each represented the college throughout the season. They have consistently outplayed the other six teams in the league who come from across East and West Sussex.
Most of the college team have played together for two years. The key to success has been their skill and versatility on court, with each player willing to adapt their role in pursuit of glory.
Coach Clare Cole said: "This has been an excellent achievement for the team. Unfortunately many are progressing to university in September so we will be looking for new players for next year from current students and new students joining us in September."
Principal Karen Hucker added: "The college is really proud of this achievement. Clare and the team have worked hard this year and deserve this reward."
The triumphant squad was Laura Bradley, Hannah Scott, Jess Phail, Clare Cole, Amy Corrigan, Rachael Marden, Cara Chambers, Katie Fusco, Eve White, Katy Sumner and Emma Morgan.
