Blues tackle the unpredictable

SIDLEY United entertain an unpredictable Wick side on Saturday (September 29) in the Sussex First Division.

Although their opposition are well known for their ability to win and lose games equally convincingly, they should prove to be easier opponents than Sidley s last visitors, Burgess Hill Town.

The Hillians are one of Sidley s main rivals for the title, but both clubs finished their midweek encounter with their unbeaten records intact as they fought out a goalless draw.

Sidley have injury doubts over Adam Day, Mark Funnell, Lee Roberts and Paul Balch, but Paul Sully should return to the starting line-up.

Bexhill Town travel to Ifield tomorrow still searching for their first league victory.

Ifield are the only other team without a win in the third division, but caretaker manager Mark Simpson is predicting another tricky match for Town.

It s always tough away to Ifield, he said. But we ll take the same work-rate and determination we showed in the last game with us and we ll see what we can get.

Bexhill have a full strength side to pick from for the first time this year with Richard Booth and Sam Rimmer returning from injury.
