Exactly who will turn out for Lashings on the day won’t be known until much closer to the time, but their 2015 squad reads like a who’s who of top talent from around the globe.

Stars such as Herschelle Gibbs, Matthew Hoggard, Simon Jones, Geraint Jones, Yasir Arafat, Devon Malcolm, Dirk Nannes, Scott Styris, Owais Shah, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam-Ul-Haq, Courtney Walsh, Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes are all listed in the 2015 squad on the official Lashings website.

Lashings’ match against Crowhurst Park will be a T20 affair starting at 3pm and off the field there will be a huge marquee for a corporate hospitality event.

Before the game there will be a softball tournament for local junior cricketers and during the interval Park are planning a parade of captains featuring as many past club skippers as they can muster.

“The day will also be a celebration of all the club has achieved over the years, both on and off the field,” added Pells.

Park have gone from strength to strength in recent times. The Telham-based club clinched the East Sussex Cricket League title in 2010 and took its place in the Sussex Cricket League for the first time the following summer.

Park went on to win Sussex Division Three (East) in 2012 and have established themselves in Division Two over the past two years, as well as reaching the last 16 of the Davidstow Village Cup in 2014.

The club now runs four adult league teams, featuring a number of players who have graduated through the colts’ system, and a women’s side which won a county competition in its first season last summer.

On top of that, Park have successfully completed a ground redevelopment project to increase the size of their home venue and install a net practice facility.
