Leo Cammish and Elliot Hooper are two of five players retained for a further year, while there are seven new faces in the set-up, which is a combined programme between the ECB and Sussex.

All of the five players who kept their academy places for 2014 made significant inroads into the second XI and will aim to continue their development this season.

Cammish is a wicketkeeper-batsman who joined Priory last season, while Hooper has come up through the club’s colt teams. Both were part of the Priory side which won the Gray-Nicolls Sussex T20 Cup last summer.

In fact, Hooper was the club’s 1st XI player of the year and the Sussex Cricket League young player of the year having picked up 40 league wickets. Cammish scored a brilliant hundred in the league win against Three Bridges.
