Sussex have County Championship title in their sights

SUSSEX begin their final home fixture of the 2012 season still in with a chance of winning the LV County Championship as they entertain Somerset at The PROBIZ County Ground tomorrow.

The hosts will be aiming to make up ground on leaders Warwickshire who are 22 points clear at the summit going into the penultimate round of fixtures this week.

Sussex’s last outing in the competition was also against Somerset as they travelled to Taunton a fortnight ago, however rain prevented them moving closer to the top spot as they had to settle for a draw on the final day. Monty Panesar was the star of the show for Sussex, taking 13 wickets in the match.
