Sussex in sizzling form at Horntye

Sussex achieved a victory double over Kent as Hastings hosted county 2nd XI cricket on Bank Holiday Monday.

Game one between the south east rivals in the ECB T20 Competition ended in a 108-run win for Sussex, who proceeded to clinch the second match by eight wickets.

Lou Vincent smashed 68 off 37 balls with four boundaries and five sixes as Sussex posted 195-8 in the opener. The former New Zealand international shared in a second wicket stand of 81 with Hastings Priory ace Matt Machan (36). Kent crumbled to 87 all out in reply off 17.4 overs with Will Beer taking 3-21.

Sussex chased down a target of 153 in the return clash thanks largely to Vincent (44 not out) and Ben Brown (64 not out), giving them three wins from their opening four fixtures.
