As Glynde & Beddingham Cricket Club’s under-12 side went through Sussex Junior Festival Week unbeaten with two wins and two draws, the efforts of the 12-year-old from Lewes stood out.

Dad David said: “He scored a mammoth 218 not out against Brighton and Hove’s Under 12B, which I understand is the highest ever innings by a Glynde player in the club’s history, which goes back well over 100 years. During the week he amassed 436 runs and was only dismissed on one occasion.

“He scored 106 not out against Lewes Priory U12s, 56 against Rottingdean U12s and added another 56 not out against St Peters U12s in their final game to add to his unbeaten double century.

“To top it off, he took seven wickets and three smart catches during the week as well.”
