The U’s will travel to Molesey in Ryman Football League Division One South hoping to build on two pretty decent results in the past six days.

United are currently one position and two points outside the play-off spots with at least one game in hand on all of the teams around them following a 2-0 win at home to Whyteleafe on Saturday and 1-1 draw away to Hythe Town last Thursday.

Molesey are three points and three places worse off than United having played an extra match, and are coming off the back of a 6-2 drubbing away to South Park on Saturday.

United will move into the play-offs if they win tonight even though fifth-placed Hythe are also playing, at home to Walton Casuals. The U’s are three points behind fourth-placed Faversham Town having played two less matches.

Although we’re nearly into the last month of the league campaign, Molesey and United are yet to meet this season with the fixture having been postponed twice since Christmas. The return match at The Pilot Field is scheduled for Saturday April 9.

United will again be without the suspended Sam Cole, but Jack Walder is available again having completed a five-match ban. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

United’s development squad, meanwhile, won 1-0 at home to high-riding Whyteleafe in their final home fixture of the Ryman U21 League South Division season last night.
