Having been fixtureless last weekend, the Pirates are due to visit Langney Wanderers in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One.

But Langney haven’t played a home fixture since mid-October as their pitch lays very wet and if tomorrow’s match doesn’t go ahead, Bexhill will go into the festive derby against Little Common on Monday December 28 not having played for 23 days.

Bexhill manager Marc Munday said: “We’re eager to get a game under our belt before the derby. We would like to get the lads back together before then. We’re doing all the training that we can and people are turning up, but it doesn’t replicate an actual game.”

Munday expects availability to be good and to have competition for places. Yankuba Camara has returned from his native Gambia, but young Elliot Stokes is set to continue in goal having impressed on his debut against Haywards Heath Town in Bexhill’s most recent outing.

Bexhill are 11th in the table with 21 points from 15 games, while Langney - who are managed by former Bexhill boss Kenny McCreadie - are seventh with 25 from 13. Kick-off is 2pm.
