New chairman Bill Harrison is due to hold a meeting with an un-named candidate tonight (Thursday) in the hope of reaching an agreement for the new man to take charge with immediate effect.

A vacancy arose after Darrol Parris resigned two games from the end of the 2012/13 campaign having been in sole charge for 15 months. Nick Grant then took temporary charge until the season finished, but had no interest in carrying on next season.

Harrison, who was elected at the club’s annual general meeting on Tuesday night, said he was looking for ‘stability for the club’ with whoever he gives the position to. Outgoing chairman Robin Powell will remain on the committee as treasurer.
