BRIGHTON & HOVE Albion maintained their unbeaten start to the Championship campaign playing out a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at the John Smiths Stadium midweek.

Whilst the point, and indeed the unbeaten start, would have gladly been taken prior to kick-off, Seagulls’ boss Chris Hughton will have been disappointed to see his side not finish the job having gone 1-0 up after just 17 seconds on the clock.

The point gained in West Yorkshire follows the earlier defeats of Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

And with Albion now sat second in the table BetVictor have subsequently cut them to 5/1 (from sevens) to be playing Premier League football next term.

Chris Hughton’s side have halved in price for the title, 16/1 from 33’s with BetVictor.

Middlesbrough similarly hardening at the head of the market after two excellent performances in the week.

A 3-0 home defeat of Bolton was followed by a 1-1 draw away at Derby, as they conceded with two minute to go at the iPro.

Despite those points dropped Aitor Karanka’s side look a class apart and are the 5/2 favourites for the title and the 5/4 favourites for promotion; Hull 9/4, Derby 9/4.

Much like Boro the sides fancied in the betting are there on reputation, however, it must be pointed out that Derby and Middlesbrough both traded at round the even money mark prior to disappointing in the final third of the campaign.

Brighton appeal as excellent value at 7/4 (from 5/2) with BetVictor to finish in the top six come the end of the season and will likely shorten further with a win when welcoming Blackburn to the Amex at the weekend.

Albion are the even money favourites with BetVictor, Rover’s 3/1 and the draw 9/4.

After netting the opener after 17 seconds all eyes will undoubtedly fall upon Beram Kayal and he looks over-priced at 12/1 to score the first goal, admittedly it does not have to be within the minute, and likewise 9/2 to score anytime during the game.
