Richard Walsh writes: “Alan Back, Bill Farnfield and Dai Davies appeared for Tunbridge Wells United in their FA Cup run in 1961.

“All three went onto play for Hastings United later in their careers, as did Gerry Boon who went on to become manager of the club in the 1980s.

“Alan Back was still at Hastings in 65-66, playing right wing and putting in the crosses for ex Spurs legend Bobby Smith to score.

“Sadly Gerry has died but I’m trying to find out if any of the other three are still about.

“The reason for my interest is that I watched all five games of the Tunbridge Wells run until they lost 3-1 in the first round at Aldershot, and with next year being the 60th anniversary I am looking to produce a booklet to commemorate the event.

“I am wondering if any of your readers might have any knowledge of their whereabouts now so I can get in contact and get their take on the cup run.”
