Champions League trophy to be paraded round Amex at Chelsea friendly

European champions Chelsea will parade the Champions League trophy at The Amex when the Londoners taken on Brighton on Saturday.

Albion fans have already reacted with annoyance to the fact many supporters in the West Stand will not be able to sit in their regular seats because the 4,000 away fans are being given the upper tier.

And some fans were critical of the £30 pricing for match tickets for what is Chelsea’s only pre season friendly in England.

Tickets are also still available for former goalkeeper Michel Kuipers’ testimonial match against Reading next Tuesday. These are £6 for under 18s, £12 for over 65s and £15 for adults.

Reading have promised to field a strong team and Gus Poyet has said he will treat it as a first team fixture, with a slot in the squad reserved for Kuipers.

Saturday’s match with Chelsea kicks off at 3pm, while Kuipers’ big night starts at 7.45pm.
