Seventh-placed Common will entertain Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two leaders Worthing United tomorrow (Saturday). Kick-off at the Recreation Ground is 3pm.

Common should go into the match in good spirits having come from 4-0 down to earn a remarkable 4-4 draw away to Midhurst & Easebourne last weekend.

Player-manager Russell Eldridge said: “That will give us huge confidence and we said it could be the turning point of our season. Hopefully that will spur us on.

“We’re good enough to beat anyone on our day and we proved that when we destroyed Wick (Common thrashed second-placed Wick & Barnham United 4-0 in November). It’s an opportunity to show what a good team we are.”

Steve Mote should return to what’s likely to be a similar Common squad. Worthing were 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season.
