Westfield manager Jack Stapley said: "I thought they were going to be really strong, but we were by far the better side. We probably should've had more than three before half time."

Adams opened the scoring with a well-worked goal. After Westfield strung together several passes, Lewis McGuigan's deep cross was hooked back across goal by Smith for Adams to tap home.

Smith netted the second and third goals to take his tally for the season to 17, while Martyn Durrant's header from six yards was repelled by what Stapley described as a Gordon Banks-like save.

Ellis struck twice and Adams once after the break as Westfield continued their autumn goal spree, despite goalkeeper Harry Stapley having to go off with a dead leg following what his manager called a two-footed tackle.

Westfield are two places and four points above Beeding in the league, and beat them 3-2 in the league during August.

"I think Beeding will be a real test," said Westfield manager Jack Stapley. "They took points off (unbeaten leaders) Bosham at the weekend and they were a good side when they came to us second game of the season."

Josh Carey is still struggling with a back problem.
