The Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup second round tie away to AFC Uckfield Town has been called-off after the playing surface at The Oaks failed a 3.30pm inspection.

Because the match has now been postponed twice - the previous cancellation was for the same reason two weeks ago - it will be switched to The Pilot Field on a date to be announced.

Uckfield are fourth in Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two, while United play their football two levels higher up the non-league pyramid in Ryman Division One South.

The U’s will be bidding to join the likes of Crawley Town, Lewes, Eastbourne Borough, Bognor Regis Town and neighbours Little Common in the draw for the last 16 of the county’s premier knockout competition.

Their next game will now be on Saturday at home to bottom-of-the-table Walton Casuals in the league and they are also due to be at The Pilot Field next Monday night against South Park.
