The Kiln Brow pitch has been declared fit and the Ryman Football League Division One South fixture has got the green light at the third time of asking. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

It was originally due to take place on Saturday January 4 only to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and it was called-off again last night for the same reason, but today’s glorious weather has enabled the surface to dry out.

Both teams will be glad the game is on because United still have 17 league matches to play before the season’s end on Saturday April 26 and Redhill have 19 remaining.

Fifth-placed United will be eager to return to winning ways following their 4-0 loss at home to Guernsey on Saturday against a 19th-placed Redhill side which has lost its last four outings and won just once since November 23.

Elsewhere tonight, Bexhill United reserves will take on ADA East Sussex Football League Premier Division leaders Hollington United in a Hastings & District FA Intermediate Cup second round tie. Kick-off at The Polegrove is 7.30pm.
