Hastings United's footballers will seek a first win over a side in the top 10 of the league table when they return to home soil tonight (Tuesday).
Buoyed by their crushing 7-0 victory away to Chatham Town on Saturday, United will host fourth-placed Greenwich Borough in Ryman Football League Division One South.
United are in 11th place at present, although only Carshalton Athletic have scored more league goals than their superb tally of 47 in just 14 matches and nobody can match their goal difference.
Darren Hare's side is eight points behind Hythe Town, who occupy the final play-off spot of fifth, with four games in hand. In fact, United have played between two and six matches fewer than every other club in the division.
United are 13 points adrift of Greenwich having played four fewer fixtures and considered themselves unfortunate to be beaten 3-2 in last month's reverse fixture having recovered from an early two-goal deficit only to concede a winner.
Jaydon Thorbourne and Kiernan Hughes-Mason made their United debuts against Chatham, and may well feature for the first time at The Pilot Field tonight. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
