The U’s will travel to Worthing in round three of the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup tonight (Tuesday). Kick-off is 7.45pm.

It will be the third meeting between Hastings and Worthing this season and the two league encounters ended in 3-1 wins for the away side. Worthing triumphed at The Pilot Field in September only for Hastings to win the following month’s reverse fixture.

Worthing, who play on an artificial 3G pitch, are second in Ryman Football League Division One South - 12 places and 15 points above Hastings having played six more matches.

“They’re a good team,” said Hastings manager Garry Wilson, who has Jack Walder available again after finally completing a four-match suspension. “They’ve got a lot of good young talent.”

Hastings have won eight matches in the knockout competitions so far this season and a victory tonight would mean they’ve come through at least two rounds in all four cups they’ve entered having stunned League Two outfit Crawley Town in the previous round last month.

* HASTINGS United Supporters’ Club will be hosting a Christmas party at The Pilot Field clubhouse on Friday (December 11).
