The Hastings United striker has been interesting a number of higher-placed clubs with his exploits in front of goal. Last season he made headlines by scoring EIGHT goals in a Velocity Trophy win over East Grinstead and at times he has scored at a rate of a goal a game.

The Hastings Observer learned of Rodari's likely departure and approached the club for a comment, and United CEO Billy Wood confirmed talks were ongoing.

"Hastings United have been discussing the possible transfer with two clubs," he said.

No other details were given but it is understood both clubs vying for the 21-year-old's signature are in League Two.

Rodari will be the second United player in just over a week to head for higher levels. Last week 16-year-old midfield prospect Benn Ward signed for Premier League Burnley.

Although Rodari's departure would be a setback for Chris Agutter's own squad building plans, it would be another sign that a spell at Hastings can be a huge boost to a young player's career - something that can only help them attract other up-and-coming stars.

Rodari has been at Hastings since he was 16.
