The duo are set to continue as joint managers for the 2013/14 campaign having enjoyed a successful two-month stint at the end of the current term.

“We’re carrying on next year; it’s a done deal,” said Gall, who was due to meet with Storey and a couple of the players last night (Thursday).

“The biggest thing we’ve got to do is tie up Canty (Cliff Cant, who has been assisting the joint managers) and Clive (Taylor, club chairman) is on his case. He’s like a 12th man to us. His knowledge is phenomenal, but it’s the commitment he might struggle with.”

Despite the frantic late season fixture pile-up, Gall and Storey lost just two of their 19 matches, and led Rye to a third successive top four finish in Sussex County Football League Division One.

What’s more, Rye were also the division’s highest scorers with an excellent 117 goals from 42 games. Their tally in all competitions by the way was 137.
