Just days after the club announced that the popular boss is remaining at the club for at least another season - and, they hope, for longer - they have confirmed Ray Collier, Aiden McManus and Jake Ramsden are also staying put.

Player retention news is expected soon.

A statement from Eastbourne United said: "Following on from our announcement that Matt Crabb is remaining as club Manager we are now pleased to announce that his management team from last year consisting of Ray Collier, Aiden McManus and Jake Ramsden have all agreed to remain also. Thank you to all you are doing a great job.

"We will of course announce the squad players when the time is right but I understand that there is a good chance that the majority of players from last year will be returning.

"Matt has pencilled in pre season games with dates to be confirmed. Below are those agreed as such so far with hopefully two or three more to come.

"Obviously we do not know yet what is going to happen with football locally but certainly things are progressing and we are aiming at being ready to start at the normal time (early August) although I personally think it will be more likely September. Obviously a lot is happening and things will depend on their outcome."

Clubs lined up to face United in friendlies are Eastbourne Borough, Hastings, Burgess Hill and Bexhill.

The club added: "Just a quick thanks to those that have been helping at the club and for those that have offered. Hopefully now we can take you up on the offer we must of course be aware of social distancing etc so we have steered away from having too many people at the club."
