United manager Terry White this week described Hassan as “one of the best two wingers in our league” and the player could make his debut in the game at Walton & Hersham today (Saturday).

As reported by www.hastingsunitedfc.co.uk, the 22-year-old right-sided wide player spent his junior career at Portsmouth and Gillingham, before earning himself a short term professional contract with then League One side Huddersfield Town in February 2010, although he was unable to secure a new deal at the end of that season.

He joined Hythe in the early stages of the 2011/12 campaign, helping them to an eighth place finish in Ryman Division One South and a first ever Kent Senior Trophy success.

A season of eye-catching displays helped him earn an ultimately unsuccessful trial with MLS outfit LA Galaxy, where David Beckham was still plying his trade, and a full time move to Turkish lower league football.

But he returned to Reachfields a few weeks into the current season and played the full 90 minutes in Hythe’s 3-2 defeat at the Pilot Field last month.

Hassan has also shown an interest in following his father Tamer into the acting profession of late, but United supporters will be desperately hoping that he can play a starring role in propelling the U’s to promotion throughout the remainder of this season.
