Ninfield go clear after narrow win

NINFIELD United have gone three points clear at the top of the ADA East Sussex Football League following a single goal win over Ticehurst.

The tight Premier Division encounter was decided by Dave Carey’s 15th minute strike.

Goals from George Benton, Steve Benton and Brett White steered Rock-a-Nore to a 3-2 win over Spartan 04 whose replies came from debutant Nathan Martin.

Colton Alleyne hit the perfect hat-trick - left foot, right foot and header - as St Leonards Social won 4-0 against White Knight. Also on target was Shane Rancic.

Guy Ballard (penalty) and Tom Ripley netted for Robertsbridge United in a 2-1 defeat of Iden whose response was a Rob Levett spot-kick.

Gavin Ramsden hit a last minute winner as Hollington United II sealed a nervy 2-1 victory at home to Bexhill AAC in Division One. Paul Ruddy had opened the scoring for United only for Craig Peters to equalise before half-time.

Catsfield secured a regulation 4-0 win at home to Sandhurst with goals from Colin White (2), Jack Baker and Ben Newman.

Steve Fortsch and Matthew Tidmarsh netted for Mountfield United in a 2-2 draw away to Orington whose scorers were Carl Longbottom (penalty) and Jon Rich-Spice.
