Opening football fixtures released

The opening fixtures of the 2011/12 Sussex County Football League season have been announced.

Rye United will travel to East Grinstead Town in an attractive-looking Division One clash and Sidley United will make the journey to Three Bridges on Saturday August 13.

In Division Two, Westfield will host Rustington, Little Common are away to East Preston and Bexhill United go to Loxwood.

Sidley and Rye, as expected, will face each other on Boxing Day and Easter Monday with the Christmas clash at Gullivers and the spring return meeting at The Salts.

Common and Bexhill will not be facing each other on the Bank Holidays, though, because Bexhill have been paired up with Seaford Town and Common with Westfield.

Fixtures announced so far - Saturday August 13, Division 1: East Grinstead Town v RYE UNITED; Three Bridges v SIDLEY UNITED. Division 2: East Preston v LITTLE COMMON; Loxwood v BEXHILL UNITED; WESTFIELD v Rustington.

Boxing Day, Division 1: SIDLEY UNITED v RYE UNITED. Division 2: LITTLE COMMON v WESTFIELD; Seaford Town v BEXHILL UNITED.

Easter Monday (April 9), Division 1: RYE UNITED v SIDLEY UNITED. Division 2: BEXHILL UNITED v Seaford Town; WESTFIELD v LITTLE COMMON.
